2020 goals list

With all the news reviews of the past year and decade coming across your desk or screen this week, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for continued trust and support. The past decade and the past year have seen ACM continue to grow and we would not be where we are today without you and your confidence in us.

2019 was an ideal year for both the equity and fixed income markets, and our investment strategies performed well, making year-end conversations conveniently pleasant for all. This won’t always be the case. Even the last few years have had their ups and downs. And, as usual, there were plenty of issues and events to be fearful of that never turned out to actually matter.

2020 starts a new year and a new decade and it’s an election year too. We are already getting questions on the election and we vividly remember folks considering exiting stocks in the off-chance that Hillary Clinton did not win in 2016. And yet here we are. New tensions in the Middle East will also have clients questioning their commitment to equities.

As we have been emphasizing over the past few years, the best course of action is to ignore the noise, make sure that you have a plan and stick to it and stay invested. This is the key to successful long-term investing and it was the best course of action over any extended period of time.

As ACM has grown, our commitment to our clients has only become clearer. We are continuing to invest in our capabilities and expertise to be able to support you and your family in growing and preserving your wealth, preparing and sustaining yourself in retirement, and for all of life’s other expected and unexpected events.

You can expect our commitment to you to continue well into the future and we look forward to many years of success working together. From our family to yours, thank you again for your support and we wish you a happy and healthy new year.
